This article is out of Hawaii but we experience the same problems here in Georgia. The best way to prove disability is to get a form filled out by your doctor. Unfortunately, many doctors will either refuse to fill out a form or will charge an a ridiculously high price to fill out a form. I understand doctors charge these prices because they consider filling out forms an annoyance. However, helping their clients get public benefits that could help them get access to Medicare and Medicaid is sometimes more important to their clients’ health than the treatment the doctor is providing.
