What’s my Judge Like?

What's my judge like?

Unfortunately, one of the most important factors in a social security disability hearing is the judge. There is a huge discrepancy from judge to judge. Some judges approve as many as 70 percent of cases while a few approve as few as 15 percent.

If you want to find out what percentage of cases your judge approves, there is a helpful website that provides statistics on all of the judges and hearing offices across the country. Take a look. The national average is around 45 percent. Most judges are within a few points of that average but you can see if your judge is an outlier.
